TheAchievements summary & expert consultation of National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program) project is held in 4520 conference room at Faculty of Geosciences and Environmental Engineering on June 4th2015. Fang wang from geographic information bureau of surveying and mapping and Huaping Huang from China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co.Ltd, Zhenyu Cao from Sichuan Engineering Research Center for Emergency Mapping &Disaster Reduction and Yan zhou from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China are invited to the meeting. Vice-president, Prof. Hua Qi, lecturer Min Chen, as well as more than 20 graduates from our faculty attended the meeting. The meeting was held by executive president of our faculty, Prof. Qing Zhu.

The experts gave affirmation to the status and achievements of the 863 program “Multi-source information real-time access and heterogeneous information automatic load technique in united space-time frame” held by our university. They also recommended the applications of those achievements in areas such as smart city, disaster reduction and life cycle of high-speed railway. They also consulted other projects held by our university and provided valuable suggestions.

After that, the experts had hot discussion about the ways of using the geographical information in the context of big data. Fang wang and Huaping Huang provided some advices on graduate cultivation on the aspect of research-productioncombination.
